Stephanie G. Wood, 40 of Bolingbrook, passed away suddenly Sunday September 15, 2024. She was born August 19, 1984 in Oak Park, IL, daughter of Fernando and Diane (Munoz) Esparza. Stephanie received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University in Chicago and then went on to receive her law degree from John Marshall Law school in Chicago. For the past 6 years she has worked in Graduate Admissions back at her alma mater, DePaul. She was active in the Martial Art of Taekwondo for much of her life and received her black belt. She loved board games, poker, video games and thrived in the creative space, whether it be as a constant painter or building unique projects for her home. She was an avid lover of all dogs, especially her 2 babies; the late Bree and the late Oscar. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends in hosting them for countless themed parties or arranging group vacations. She will be loved and missed by so many for her sparkling heart, energy, generosity and selflessness that spanned her entire life. Stephanie is survived by her husband of 9 years Danny, her brother Tristan (Kristy) Esparza, her parents, her in-laws Randy and Barb Wood, her sister-in-law Allison (Artie) Taylor, her nieces and Nephews; Ari, Zoe, Owen, Brooklyn; her extended family includes Uncle Ruben and Aunt Beatrice, and Aunt Maria along with many other cherished friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; Fernando and Micaela Esparza, and Eliseo and Rebecca Munoz.

Family will be receiving guests Saturday September 21, 2024 from 3pm until 7pm and will include a service at 6pm at Dieterle Memorial Home 1120 S. Broadway in Montgomery.
