Bob & Meg,

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think you and Sophia. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I know Sophia is looking down on you and smiling and saying that she has the most wonderful parents and thanking you for everything you did for her. Please know that Mike and I are here for you always. We have such a wonderful group of friends that we should all be thankful for. We Love You both! God Bless.

Meg & Bob, Maryann & Fran,
I am so saddened by your loss. I came upon the notice in the Palos Citizen this morning and it just broke my heart. I know I never met your little one, but I know she was precious and my heart goes out to you. Be strong for each other.

I see tears fall down your face
When your thoughts have turned to me.

Just know that I’m in heaven,
With my Lord, who’s set me free.

No pain or sadness do I feel,
For God is by my side.

The beauty here in Heaven
Is now where I reside.

I know it’s hard for you to cope
For you can’t feel my touch.

But every moment, I can see
And love you very much.

When you are at your lowest
And feel you can’t go on,

Look towards the heavens
The light will be turned on.

Talk to me, just like you did
On earth when I was there.

You see, I’m not so far away …
Only as far as a prayer.

And when it’s time for you to join
Me up in Heaven above.

It’s then that you will realize,
The Golden Place of love.

For here there is no sadness,
Just everlasting light.

Someday we will be joined again,
When it’s time to take your flight.

Dear Sophia,
I never knew you but your life has touched my heart. Your Auntie Katie talked about your brave fight, your beautiful smile and how you touched the lives of those around you. While I am so very sad for your family that you did not get to stay long on this Earth, I know that you are looking down from Heaven, smiling, laughing, playing and being an angel of God and watching over your family now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God's love, wisdom, comfort and healing be with you now and forever.

Meg & Bob-
In my opinion Sophia was always God's littlest angel. Put here to teach us all something about ourselves. During her short time here, she touched SO many lives. I am sure that as we speak, she now has the BIGGEST smile on her face, the one she has been waiting to adorn for the last 10 months. She is smiling down at her Mom and Dad, so proud of how much you love her, and how much you believed in her thru it all. My heart breaks for you both, and I will always be here for you...ALWAYS.
I love you guys.

Dear Bob & Meg,
No words can be found to express my sympathy for you, but I just wanted to say how proud you both should be of yourselves. You never stopped searching for answers for Sophia's illness, and most important, you gave her more unconditional love than some people experience in a lifetime. May you finally find peace knowing that your little girl is in heaven and isn't suffering anymore.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Bob and Meg,
I am so blessed to have been a small part of Sophia's life. She grabbed my heart the first night that I met her and never let go. I am smiling through my tears as I think of how she would shut her eyes so tightly and pretend to sleep when she would hear me come in the door. I cherish every moment that I spent with her. Dear Sophia, I love and miss you very much. I will never forget you.
