Katz, Sondra

Sondra Katz, nee Kaplan, 92. Beloved wife for 58 years to the late Gilbert; devoted mother of Jack (Barb) Katz, Steven Katz (Ann Garich), and the late Paul Katz; cherished Bubbe of Sarah (Josh) Hilton, Ashley Katz (Jason O'Halloran), Justin Katz (Jaclyn Wagner), Brandon Katz, and Samantha (Danny) Giffels; proud great-Bubbe of Palmer, Emma, and Teddy; loving sister of four late brothers and sisters; treasured aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Sondra's family would like to thank the staff at Lake Barrington Woods Community for their care and compassion. Sondra lovingly raised her three boys and when her son Paul passed away, she raised Paul's children Ashley and Brandon. She adored spending summers in Union Pier, MI, painting, doing crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy daily. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia And Lymphoma Society, www.lls.org. Chapel service Tuesday, Feb. 4, 12:15 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I have known the Katz family for about 50 years. I was friends with all three boys, we have had many good times together.
Sondra lived a long life and her and her husband did a ood job of raising the kids. May she rest in peace.
