Schatz, Sol J. age 89, beloved husband of Janet (nee Antin), loving father of the late Judith Schatz-Woods and the late Laura (Perry) Tasky, proud grandfather of Barrett, Kevin and Brian Tasky, Sarah and Daniel Kovitz and the late Joshua Nathan Tasky, dear brother of Annette (the late Melvin) Feldman and the late Viola (the late Walter) Klein, fond father-in-law of Susan Kovitz-Tasky, adored uncle of Stephanie (Frank) Brodsky, David Feldman and Mara (Stuart) Fox. Past State Commander of the Jewish War Veterans and Past Commander of Jewish War Veterans, Post #282. Winner of WWII-Distinguished Flying Cross. Service Friday, 10:30 a.m., at Chicago Jewish Funerals Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., (1 blk. North of Lake Cook Rd.), Buffalo Grove. Interment Westlawn. Our condolences to Janet and the family on the loss of Sol. We remember him fondly from the days at Waterford.

Sol was a good man-I liked him. He was a power in the JWV,as well as in The Landings complex. We will not be able to atend his funeral, due to a prior commmitment, but you have our sympathies.

Sol was an amazing loving, gentle and kind man. We are greatly saddened by his passing and will miss him terribly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Janet and the rest of the family.
