Mark, if there is anything that I could ever do for you or your children, I am just a phone call away. Your family has been like a second family to my sons, so I want you to know my door is always open to you and your family. We all loved Shirley and you and Tyree.

With deepest sympathy to the entire Washington family. I was saddened to hear of your great loss. May you find comfort and strength in the Lord. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow, like ALL time, is secure in the Lord's hands. May He continue to bless and keep you in His loving arms. God Bless.

I like to give my condolences to the family. And remember that God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be

mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away. God Bless you and your family at this time of need.

To Julia, and the rest of Shirley's family. I am so sorry Julia for the passing of your sister at an age much too young to leave her family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Shirley was such a neat person, treasure all the happy memories.

Most merciful God, bless all who have suffered from this great loss

in their lives.

Support them with love during their time of sorrow and grace them with peace as they wrestle with the challenges of each day.

Sustain them in hope as they prepare for the days ahead.

Provide them with the strength to be strong, sometimes being strong doesn't mean holding on, sometimes it means letting go.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God Bless you all.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me

 When tomorrow starts without me,

 And I'm not there to see;

If the sun should rise and find your eyes

 All filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry

 The way you did today,

While thinking of the many things,

 We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,

As much as I love you,

And each time that you think of me,

 I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,

 Please try to understand,

That an angel came and called my name,

And took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready,

 In heaven far above,

And that I'd have to leave behind

 All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,

A tear fell from my eye,

 For all my life,

 I'd always thought,

 I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,

 So much yet to do,

 It seemed almost impossible,

 That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,

The good ones and the bad,

I thought of all the love we shared,

And all the fun we had.

 If I could relive yesterday,

 Just even for a while,

I'd say good-bye and kiss you

 And maybe see you smile.

 But then I fully realized,

 That this could never be,

 For emptiness and memories,

Would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,

 I might miss come tomorrow,

I thought of you, and when I did,

My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,

I felt so much at home.

When God looked down and smiled at me,

 From His great golden throne,

 He said "This is eternity,

 And all I've promised you."

Today for life on earth is past,

 But here it starts anew.

 I promise no tomorrow,

And since each day's the same way

There's no longing for the past.

But you have been so faithful,

 So trusting and so true.

Though there were times you did some things,

 You knew you shouldn't do.

 But you have been forgiven

And now at last you're free.

So won't you take my hand

And share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,

 Don't think we're far apart,

For every time you think of me,

I'm right here, in your heart.

Shirley what a friend you were to me. We just clicked you came into my life when I needed a friend like you. You were so calm, cool, and collected you helped me relax. You were very special to me and I love you deeply. I'm sorry I couldn't be strong like you. But our friendship will last me a lifetime. You came into my life for a reason. I want to thank you. Say hi to your dad and mine until we meet again. I love you girl.

My blessings go out to the Washington family. I have been a friend of Shirley's two sons Mark and Tyree for 17 years. I have had many great times at the Washington home growing up and hearing the wisdom and jokes from Shirley. She has always welcomed me in her home and was a great influence on me. I very much appreciate the relationship that I have had with her sons as well as her. It is a testament to what kind of mother and person she was by just looking at her two sons who are well rounded and great men to be around. Mark I have always considered you one of my best friends and value our friendship greatly. My heart goes out to you as you live the rest of your life. Your MOM did it right. You should be very proud to have had a MOM like Shirley. As she was in many ways our MOM as well. God bless you and your family. Thanks for being a friend

My heart is filled with sorrow...My spirit filled with peace, knowing that Miss Shirley is now part of the beautiful universe. Her smile felt in the sunshine....her laughter in the wind. What a wonderful example of humanity & true mothering. I will miss chatting with you as we take out our garbage & feed our dogs. I send my love to my next door neighbor & friend, Shirley....as well as the entire washington family. You are not alone. You all will be thought of often. We are just a door knock away. Blessings be yours. Sharing the Life Experience...Andrea, Paul, Frankie, &cHAVA /p.s. we'll still sneak "MR.H" treats if that's OK Shirley?!?!

I's so very hard to realize that Shirley is gone. She always had a beautiful smile and was the only person that walked slower that me. I've know Shirley since she started Honeywell all those years ago and she would always greet me by my nickname. Peace and Love to all of the family.

I am one of Shirley's recent co-workers from Honeywell. She will be missed greatly. I saw her as being a very strong woman who worked hard and faced her life head-on. She raised a fine family. She was quiet alot of the time but when she smiled she lit up the room. I pray for peace for her family knowing she is with God.
