Dear Shirley,
How I miss you my happy little sister.I miss your smile, your laughter, your spirit of life and the way you always stepped up to the plate to meet life's challenges. Although dementia stole you from those of us who loved you, you left us the great gift of wonderful memories to help us carry on. Rest in peace my dear little sister.

I was fortunate to work with Shirley for a few years here at Tufts School of Dental Medicine. It is probably 20 years now but I still remember her fondly. When we first met she had recently recovered from a heart attack and was all about eating well and exercising. I recall her sense of humor as well as her common sense. My deepest sympathies to the family she loved dearly.

Grief is so hard, but my special memories of your perpetual smile and great sense of humor are helping me cope. It is so sad to say good-bye to a sister, who was also a great friend.

Shirley, you were the best boss anybody could ask for. I'll miss you dearly and will always remember the laughter, funny faces and all the crazy noises we made. You were a true ray of sunshine.
I love you, Josephine
