Dear Lynne and Laurie, I was reminiscing and I wanted to look you up and tell you about a young actress from New York that I have working in our office... and I ran across this.
Your mom burned with intensity. The first time I met her she lit the fire in my belly. Her eyes told me how to work in the business. Her memory will live on in thousands of actors throughout the country. I'll always remember her.
Lots of Love,

Shirley Hamilton gave me my first four
network commercials. Can one ever forget an agent who truly believed in
them when they were so young! Shirley,
you will be in my heart forever!

Dear Lynne and Laurie,
Today, October 3rd, I walked in the door and my husband said, "I have some sad news for you - I read that Shirley passed away Sept. 15". I did an about face and said, "What!". I was so sad...Shirley gave me my start in this business and I will always
remember your mother as a very sweet, elegant, and tender woman. She was my first talent rep.!!! When I walked in to your agency for the first time, Shirley grabbed my hand, walked me to the talent representative counter and said, "This is Nydia Rodriguez and she is spanish!"
After that, I landed two commercials. On August 9th 1980 she called me and said, "Nydia, I have a McDonald's tv commercial audition for you". I said, "Shirley, last night my 29 year- old husband died in a tragic motorcycle accident". Shirley let out a gasp. She was terribly sadden. The next day she sent me the most gorgeous flowers--red miniature roses wrapped in white baby spread. Until this very day I rwill fondly remember those lovely flowers. I will miss Shirley-she got me my first start in a lovely career. She was ALL Class and Style. I will pray for her every chance I get. Shirley was an angel on earth! I will miss her! Lynne and Laurie my love to all of you! and our deepest sympathy!

To Shirley Hamilton's beloved family.
Back in 1956 at the Patricia Stevens Agency, Shirley was very kind to me with giving me support in modeling. Last I talked to her was about 1997,again & finally thanking her for her kindness & wished her long time business always success. I am sorry for your loss of this grand person.
