I was lucky to be one of Shirley's neighbors for nearly 30 years. I met Shirley after her daughters had grown, so I only knew her as a strong, independent, and beautiful woman (without the halo of being a fantastic mom). Shirley was a delight. She was always cheerful, engaging, and sincere in her ways. And Shirley was always so "put together". She'd emerge from her home, dressed in the most professional attire (pumps and all), and smelling sweet as a flower. I remember her perfumes the most. I grew up in a time where perfumes weren't worn very often, but Shirley, she would always smell sweet as a summer breeze. I I will miss you, Shirley.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of this wonderful lady--and she was exactly that in all senses of the word, "Lady." Smart, funny, sweet and charismatic comes to mind in a quick reaction, but that does not do justice in capturing this "whirlwind" of energy and love, now dispersed into the heavens. She will be missed by many who had the chance to interact with her in business and on personal matters. My experience intersected with both. May her memory be a blessing to all.
