She was born in Toledo, Ohio, February 9, 1935, to parents, Walter and Harriet Wilchowski, and they preceded her in death. She volunteered her time for the American Red Cross for many years and offered her time to help at bingo events throughout the area. The most important part of Shirley's life were her grandchildren. They always came first. She was their number one fan, never missing a game or school event. Shirley is survived by her loving husband of more than 55 years, Raymond L. Arnold; daughters, Rae Ann (Joseph) Cherry and Ramona (Jeffrey) Jordan; son, Daniel (Carol) Arnold; grandchildren, Katie, Nicholas (Bethanie), Laurie, Nathan (Shannon), Megan, Scott, Julie, Joshua, and Ashlyn; sisters, Alberta Nulton and Beatrice Rieker and her faithful canine companion, Kazsa. Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, OH, Sunday, January 18th from 2 - 9 p.m., where the Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Little Flower Catholic Church, Monday at 11 a.m., where Shirley's body will lie in state one-hour prior. The family would like to thank Mary Ellen, Maureen, and Karen, of the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, for their loving care and support offered during Mom's illness, you were all wonderful. Grandma,
I will miss you so much, as I already do. You were the only grandma I ever knew and you meant and mean the world to me. I am sorry you will not be at Chuck & I's wedding in person, but we know you will be there in spirit & wouldn't miss it for the world. It has proven to be and will continue to be hard to deal with you not being here with us and all of the parties won't be the same. But we will have the memories of you to cherish and our faith to help us cope. We know you are in a better place and while it is hard for us to accept you being gone, we will get through knowing that one day we will be able to share it with you once again. I love you & I will miss you so much.
