Going to Multiplex will not be ths same for Susan and I. Seeing Shelly and that big smile made working out actually seem like fun. We will miss him.

Shelly and I were in the same fraternity in high school, and I considered him to be a good friend. He was also a friend of my older brother. I hadn’t seen him since about 1965, but my memories are clear about a really great guy who was always upbeat, caring of other people, and fun to be with. I know he will be missed and my sympathies are with his family.

Shelly and i go back to 1963 when he and I pledged the same fraternity. Shelly had so many friends that knew him his whole life that even though I knew him for over 42 years it was as if I was a recent addition to his life. Shelly was one of the sweetest person any one could ever know and once he embraced you as a friend you were always his friend. To the entire Lewis family I offer my deep condolensces and to Shelly ( Looie) my wish is eternal life.

I hadn't spoken to Shelly in years. A mutual friend told me about his ordeal and I felt compelled to call him and say hello and to keep up the fight. We go back to early schoolhood days.We weren't close in many years but he was -and still is - part of my history.I am glad I called -he was a nice gentle man

My name is Lisa Ayala and I work for Howard Frum. Howard and Shelly have been friends for many, many years and I recently discovered that this was the same Shelly Lewis that I used to work for at Clothesline on Milwaukee Ave! I was 18 years old and was hired by my cousin Robert Moreno who used to manage that store. I couldn't believe what a small world it was and seeing Shelly after all these years and finding out he was a friend of my current boss was a pleasant surprise. I was saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family. He was a fun boss to work for back then so it's no wonder he and Howard were friends!

My name was Janet Katz, and I was a good friend of Shelly's in high school. I saw Shelly several years ago when he came to Dallas, and met my family. He was as personable and as sweet as ever. Even then, he was trying to set up a reunion of some of my old friends. I still have some pictures of us at high school dances. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. So sorry to loose Shelly at such a "young" time in our lives. Our love and condolences to the wonderful family he left behind, where he will remain forever in many hearts.

Peggy, our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Shelly. Shelly was one of the nicest people in the world. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all of us. During the difficulties he incurred these last few year he was so fortunate to have been comforted by your love and support along with that of his loving family. Shelly was always smiling and such a good person. He would always brighten your day and was so proud of his family. We had great times when we sold merchandise at the shows through the years. He was always kind and thoughtful. Shelly raised three beautiful daughters and was really proud of his family.

He will be missed and may he rest in peace. Wishing his family strength at this difficult time and know you were blessed with a special person.

Peggy, I am so sorry for your loss. Although we hadn't seen much of each other in recent years, there is always a strong bond between people who were good friends in early years. When we did see each other recently, it was like those years hadn't passed. I have so many fond memories of Shelly. He will be missed by all. I am sorry that I must be out of town on Monday but our thoughts, prayers and sympathies are with you and your family at this sad time.

Deep in my soul are the wonderful memories of our many years of friendship. The feeling of loss is immense but the happiness of all of the wonderful years that we shared helps me celebrate a life that was ended way to early. Peg: I am so glad that we were able to spend time with Shelly last Saturday. We had a great visit and he was in such good spirit. It is a memory I will treasure always. The last T-shirt he gave away will go to my grandson, Logan. What a great gift. Shelly was truly a special person who will be missed by all. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I am so sorry that we can't be there but we want you to know that we love you and will always be here for you.
