God saw he was getting tired
and a cure wasn't to be,
So He put his loving hands around him, and whispered come with me.
With tearful eyes we watched,
suffered and watched him fade away-
Even though we loved him dearly,
we couldn't make him stay.
His golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.
