Townley, Sharon A.
Sharon A. Townley, age 76, of Huntley, Illinois passed away on November 02, 2021, after a brief illness. She was born on April 22, 1945, to John and Genevieve Townley in Chicago. Sharon "Sherry" was a very spiritual person and a loyal employee of the Archdiocese of Chicago. She was extremely generous and went to great lengths to support as many charity organizations as possible. Sharon had a devotion for animals and followed her calling by working at local animal hospitals for many years. She enjoyed spending time at casinos, on her beloved video poker machines. Sharon was a loving sister of Robin (Kit) Townley of Huntley, aunt of Melissa (Glenn) Wellendorf of Kingston, Carolyn (Joe) Bernett of Rosemont, and Jack (Amy) Townley of Lake Zurich and great aunt of Charlie and Bobby Wagner, Ryan Wellendorf, Macsen and Murphy Bernett and Tripp Townley. Memorial Mass Saturday, 10:00 a.m. December 4, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 114 S. Elizabeth Street, Lombard, IL. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to one of Sharon's favorite charities; The Salvation Army, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, or American Red Cross.
