Selma Feder Obituary
Selma R. Feder (nee Reisberg), who celebrated her 100th birthday with her family in November, died peacefully at home in Lincolnwood January 21. Devoted wife of the late Dr. Harold J. Feder for 75 years, she was the beloved mother of Joel (Sally), Alvin (Linda), Marc (Eileen) and Robert; cherished grandmother of Michael, Benjamin (Alyson), Stephanie, Isaac (Abbe), Nathan (Rebecca), Stephen (Sarah), Jordan (Rachel) and Emily; adored great grandmother of Parker, Paxton, Evelyn, Ava, Jackson, Lillian, Livia, Mason, Addison, Malachi, Amalia and Eli; revered aunt to generations of nieces and nephews, and a generous, loving friend to all who knew this remarkable woman. A pillar of Skokie Valley Agudath Jacob Synagogue for more than 60 years. Private services and shiva have been held. Donations are welcome to the charity of your choice. Shortly after I moved unto Barclay Place seven years ago I joined Selma´s Rummicube game and until Covid hit every Wednesday evening was spent with Selma. When not winning most of the games she was passing out candy and singing songs and telling jokes. Every time I look out my window and see her dark ones I feel so sad....but also grateful to have known such a wonderful friend.

My condolences to the family and especially to the Feder sons who I remember so well. Alvin´s Bar Mitzvah was one week before mine. It made mine quite difficult. It was like being the act after Sinatra. I fondly recall being invited back to your home for lunch after services and our parents had a long and great relationship over many years at SVTS. Indeed I last saw your mother when she came to my mother´s funeral. My thoughts are with you all.
