It has officially been two months that Scott hasn't been with us. Not a day goes by that I don't wish he was here with me. Things here in Savannah are definitely a little bit quieter these days. I miss the high pitch laugh that he had. Allie and I will never forget the time at CO's when he started laughing and we both looked at each other amazed that he could sound like that! He definitely had the ability to make me laugh, usually at my own expense! There were quite a few times I was crying I was laughing so hard. Everytime I say something or do something stupid, I can still hear him laughing in my head. Somedays I think it keeps me going. Just thinking about him brings a smile to my face. He was everything to me.

Our family extend our condolences to Scott's family. Our son Ray knew Scott since grade school. They played instructional soccer together with Greg as coach and on to high school football. Ray is now activated by the IL National Guard and is training in Indiana to be deployed to Kosovo in July. When we e-mailed him about Scott, he asked that we send his condolences as well. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Scotty and I, along with Carl Wohlfeil, were roommates for 3 years at Fort Bragg. In that time, we begame as close of friends as I have ever been. The two of us were best men at Carl's wedding, visited each other's families during holidays, and shared times and memories during the past 4 years I would not trade for the world. Scotty really did live until the day he died. He was a brother to me, and I'll miss him terribly.

To Scott's Family,
Thank you for making me feel like part of your family over the last 5 years. For those of you who I did not have the chance to meet until last week, thank you for welcoming me with open arms and giving me the support to get through this. You will always be in my thoughts.
To Scott's Friends,
Thank you for being such great friends to Scott and I over the years. I had never heard someone speak of his friends as highly as Scott did..now I can completely understand why. You were more than friends to him, you were family. On more than one occasion (One being St.Patricks Day in Savannah 4 years ago), Scott told me that he would've given up his life for his friends. He has taught me what friendship and loyalty truly mean.
I will miss him more than words can explain, but everytime something reminds me of him it brings a smile to my face. Thank you for so many unforgettable memories.
