In Andover, Aug. 25, at his residence, 82. Loving husband of 50 years to Ruth (Wicks) Hoffman of Andover. Devoted father of Jane W. and her husband Joseph Garbino of Andover, twin sons, David S. and his wife Kathy Hoffman of Wellesley, and W. Drew and his wife Kate Hoffman of Marblehead. Cherished grandfather of 4. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 in Temple Emanu-EI, 514 Main St., Haverhill. (Exit 51A off route 495). Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. A memorial observance will be held at his residence on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Contributions in his memory may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843, or American Cancer Society Memorial Giving Program, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. I worked with Joe more than 30 years ago at Ingalls when the firm was on Newbury Street. It was my second real job. I worked with Jane there.
