Sarah, you were my best friend. Out of all the people I met at Bradley, you were the only one to keep in touch with me when I moved to North Dakota. I will never forget New Years Eve 2005. Little did I know that night would be the last time I would ever see you. You and I went through a lot together. Just thinking about the times I spent with you puts a smile on my face. I want you to know that even though I lived so far away from you, I never stopped thinking about you. Remember our last conversation? We were trying to plan a trip for you to come visit me over the Fourth of July weekend. I really wish you would have gotten the chance. You had the most wonderful family I have ever met, and I pray for all of you every day. I want you to know that I am so happy to call myself your friend. I miss you, I love you, I'll never forget you.

My deepest sympathies go to the entire Harris family. I did not know Sarah personally but I attended Wheeling High School with her and I always remember when I would see her around school that she always had a smile on her face. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. May God Bless Sarah and Ivon.

As a teacher at Bradley University, I remember Sarah as a kind and attentive student who did not speak her mind often but did so with conviction. In Olympe de Gouges, a feminist writer of the French Revolution, Sarah seemed to find a suitable subject for her compassionate approach to life and a sympathetic model of a woman who came to find her own voice. Sarah deserved more from life, but I will remember her as the excellent teacher she always promised to become. To her family and friends, please accept my heartfelt sympathies.

I am devastated! I wish it wasn't true. I just, [sigh] couldn't believe that this happened. I didn't know Ivon as a close friend but I knew of his kindness when we briefly met at the synod assemblys. My deepest sympathys to Nancy and Nathan, and the rest of the Harris family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sarah's family and friends. I went to High school with Sarah, where we both met our freshman year of cheerleading. I remember all of the fun times that we had during cheerleading, but I will never forget her smiling face. Sarah you will be missed a great deal!

Sarah,
I will never forget the comfort in seeing your familar face at Bradley. You treated me with open and welcoming arms at such a new and exciting time. I will always remember how we first saw each other at Pikes Date Party. I had so much fun with you that night! Such a small world, right? I always loved seeing you on campus because you always had a smile on your face and open arms for hugs. You made me feel comfortable as if we had been friends forever. Your kindness and friendship will never be forgotten.
Love,
Leigha

Dearest Nancy and Nathan,
Please know how devastated I am at this terrible loss of such a lovely young lady...Your Sarah. I remember when she was born, and the joy she brought to your family, as well as to our Ascension Church family. So precious and adorable...such a delight watching her grow up to the point when you moved to Illinois. She will never be forgotten for the lives she touched in so few years. Please know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers; and Nancy, as a mother, please know that I share the grief you're feeling each day and know that the Good Lord will help you through - Sarah will live on. I love you, Candy.

Sarah,
When we were young girls we shared a wonderful week-end in New York City with your Mom and my Grandma Mila. I often think about us shopping together and the buggy ride in the park. I'll cherish that memory of our friendship forever. We had so much fun!
