Sara Weyland Obituary

Weyland, Sara (Sally) Boyle

Sara (Sally) Boyle Weyland of Atlanta, GA passed away on May 9th, 2022. She was born in Chicago, IL on September 6, 1931. Sally graduated from The Immaculata High School in 1949. She married Gerald Weyland in 1955 and they were happily together until his death in 1999. Sally worked for the Potash Brothers grocery store chain in Chicago for 25 years. She was an active member of St. Vincent De Paul's church and was a member of the choir for over 30 years. She is the daughter of Patrick and Nora Boyle and the sister of Vincent Boyle, Mary Glascott and Suzanne O'Brien. She is survived by her son, Thomas Weyland, daughter Pamela Hope and grandchildren Rachel Freundt, Alexander Hope, Sarah Abercrombie, Wilkinson Hope and great-grandchildren Alice and Wilson Abercrombie. A memorial Mass in her honor will be held at St Vincent DePaul Church, 1010 Webster Ave, Chicago, IL on Saturday May 21st at 11 am with a memorial visitation at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

On behalf of the Potash family we wish Sally's family our sincere condolences. I have fond memories of working with Sally at Pleasing Supermarket on Lawrence Ave. She was a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with and to be around. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tom and Pam and family.
