Samuel Tate Obituary

Tate Jr., Samuel Hanley dearly beloved husband of Cary Lou McKechnie Tate, devoted father of Samuel III and Heidi Tate, cherished family member and friend of many others nationwide. Visitation Wednesday, 2 to 8 p.m. with Christian funeral service at 7 p.m. at McKeon Funeral Home, 634 W. 37th St., (at Lowe Ave.), Chicago, IL, Pastor Ray Rohlfs officiating. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American cancer Society would be appreciated. For further information please call 773-927-0925.

it has been a year now and sam still is missed i think of him every day and think about some of the lessons he tryed to teach me through the years. he will always be in my heart and so will you carey and children .my mom is really sick now and i know he is watching over her for when its her time god bless

cary and kids,i just wanted to say to you that sam was a good man and he loved you all very much i feel right now hes in heaven looking down on everyone and knowing how strong you are in the time of sorrow my son peter who is 8 recently did a spelling bbee contest at school, he made it all the way to the eighth grade class and when i told him i was proud he pulled out a wallet picture of sam and said he did it for him he will never be forgotten and will always be with us. you helped in making him the man he was he loved you so much and always spoke of you which made me feel close to you, i thank him for all hes taught me and my kids and being able to share in his life

Sam i'll neva forget the weekends that i went by grandma's and saw you there and we all just had some good times... those were the best days just to go over there and see you there and you just made me luagh by the things you would say... you put many smiles on everyones faces and that'll never change... you made me laugh so many times just like you made others luagh too... you brightned up many peoples faces including mine many times... Sam you were the best and always will be and i'll neva forget that... you were just like a grandpa to me and i love you like one too.. Sam you fought alot and now it was time for you to go and rest up in heaven with the angels... and soon enough we will meet again when the angels call for me...
