I met Sam years ago through my good friend Don Hanrahan and always enjoyed him immensely. I ran into him in Evanston about a year and a half ago and planned to call him about lunch and reminicences of the old days...but, sadly, the time ran out. Sam was one of the most energetic and up-beat guys I've known....walking fast and with purpose and a smile. Rest in peace, Sam.

Sam was a wonderful man, a great media sales guy, and a big college basketball fan. Sam used to call on me when I was at the Leo Burnett Co. We had many terrific lunches over the years at the CAA talking business and sports, especially about his beloved DePaul Blue Demons and his pal Ray Meyer. I know too he loved his family since he spoke about you often and kept me up-to-date on your lives.
