Not sure what to say?

Sam was always: holding down the fort at Green Dubin (every Sunday whether or not it was tax season); the soothing voice on the other end of the telephone! Understandably his passing is a great loss to family, friends, and clients. May his blessed memory be comforting to all.

Ira, Sheryl - Sam will be missed by everyone he was ever connected with. I am sorry for your loss. Over the past 10 years he always made me feel part of the team though I only worked part time.

I can still imagine him taking naps on the lounger in his office. He was such a hard worker and smart CPA -- he deserved those naps.

We will miss you Sam.

We were so sorry to hear about Sam. We have such wonderful memories of Sam. He always had the biggest smile and was always so nice to everyone, especially to all of the kids on the block! Always inviting everyone over. He was just the sweetest man. We know how much he will be missed, and our heart goes out to all of you.
All our love,
Sherry,(Bloom Family), Ralph (Brodacz family) and Larry (Brodacz family)

To Sam's Family:

There are a handful of people in the world that make it seem like a "safe place". Sam was one of those - wise, compassionate and loyal. He is loved and missed by all. A man can ask for no greater reward than to be respected and revered by all who knew him. Blessings Sam...xo Kath

It is always rueful losing friends. Sam will be missed by all whose lives he touched...I knew him more than 30 years. As "number crunchers" go (lol) he was one of the very best. My heart felt sympathies go out to his family...may they carry on the Dubin name and dedication to success he personified.

Dear Sam,

You will be forever present in our hearts and thoughts. You and Estelle have been an inspiration to us and we will continue to model our married life after your kindness and generosity. We will always remember your thoughtful advice and council over the years as we have faced life’s many challenges. You are a wise man. Thanks as well for your reassuring smiles and for sharing your warm spirit with us on so many special occasions. We remember how sweet it was to see you come by early in the morning for Thanksgiving in Wilmette and drop off a car load of chairs for us to have on hand “just in case”. So thoughtful! Your warm heart lives within us. Every minute with you was precious and every memory with you timeless. Our love will be with you always.

Sam was great. He was always a gentleman, professional and had a pragmatic positive approach. He worked closely for many years with my father, in service to many people. I am proud to have known him and to have had his guidance and example. Peace to you Sam, and to your family.

Ira, I'll never forget your dad and what he did for me when I needed an office. I thought he'd be planning reunions and working forever.

Shellie and I are both so sorry for your loss.

We will deeply miss you Sam! You have been a wonderful neighbor and friend for 50 years, always there to help, watching over the neighborhood. Without second thought, you would drop everything to help another soul, as you did years ago to pick up a 5 year old off the street after being hit by a car and rushing him and his mother to the hospital. That 5 year old was me. If only the world were filled with people like you, the world would be a happy place. As an employer, no-one could come close- humble, kind and caring. How fortunate we have been. You will be sorely missed by all.

Aliyah Neshama, and may your family and friends be comforted with the other mourners of Tzion and Yerushaliam.

Dear Estelle, Ira, Cheryl, and Jeff,
There is nothing we can say about Sam that was not lauditory. He was a devoted, old and trusted friend. Our freindship has been a part of lives for the last 60 years. The future will not be the same with Sam gone. The crossroads of our lives intersected in a great many ways- socially, familial, as neighbors, professionally and as plain old deeply rooted friends. We wish we could be with you in your time of sorrow which we share.
