Salvatore Basso Obituary

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Sam. He was a wonderfully kind and generous man. I had the honor and privilege of volunteering with him at the homeless shelter at Sacred Heart Church in Palos Hills for years. He always had a smile on his face, and I will remember him fondly. So sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting your family when Kathleen was ill. Mr. Basso was such a kind and caring man. I was in awe watching him care for Kathleen with such loving patience and kindness. He is an example of what a true gentleman is. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

So saddened when I read the obit today. We moved out of Worth 8 years ago after living there 28 years. My husband and I were long time patients of your Dad. Never ever pressured to come back for more sessions. If you feel the need just give me a call, always kind and caring. Ironically I drove by the house on Tuesday and the bright light was beaming on the house. So very fitting because your Dad was a bright light to the community of Worth. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Sal always had a smile, and brought a smile or laugh to my face. I met him through his beloved brother, Mike, and they treated one another with such respect, affection and good humor. They are models for “brotherly love.” Sal will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Salvatore & Kathy were the best neighbors to have, in all the years knowing them and there Family has been a true Honor and Blessing. I can say throughout the years, the laughs we had, the food we shared, talks of the world problems, looking out for each other as neighbors, I will miss phone calls and knowing we were there to help each other when needed, my Family and I wish Heartfelt Comfort to the Family!

Sam Basso and his family have been incredibly kind to our family over the years!! I have fond memories of getting together with them for cookouts and watching the Cubs!! Sam will be missed but I’m sure he is finding comfort in the Arms of Jesus and with his dear wife Kathy and daughter Therese!! Praying for peace and comfort for the family ❤
