Ruth Strine Obituary

Ruth M. Strine, 66, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Allentown. She was the wife of Gerald A. Strine to whom she was married for 45 years this past June 28, 2003. Born February 14, 1937 in Pinegrove, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Richard H. Baker. She was a member of Northampton Country Club in Bethlehem Twp. She was Vice President and founder with her husband of Corri Acres Design and Packaging in Allentown from 1967 until retiring in 1997. Prior to that she worked at St. Regis Paper Co. in Mt. Wolf, and then in sale at La Boutique in Washington, NJ, where she also modeled at over 160 charitable events. After retirement she became a Longaberger Basket Consultant. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a step mother, Emma Doudrick Baker of York; a step sister, Lee Douglas of Annapolis, Md.; a half brother, Richard Baker of York; a half sister, Gloria Klyeman of York; six nieces; four nephews; and two God children. The service will be Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Ashton Funeral Home, 14th & Northampton Sts., Easton and Friday at 11 a.m. in the Strinestown United Brethren Church, 5675 Susquehanna Trail, Manchester. Burial will be in Strinestown Cemetery.
