Unanswerable
Why God took you I don’t know
I do know that I didn’t want you to go
You are my only grandmother
Almost like my mother
Took me in when I had nowhere to go
Showed me love I have never felt again
Never understanding why you are gone

Today I think of you
And wish you were here to see me do what I do
Succeeding in school
To prove to everyone that I can do it
But most importantly keeping you in mind
I get low but then I know that is not how you want me to feel
And remember even though you don’t walk the streets of earth
You run the streets through my heart
I love you and miss you
And know your looking down on me to

Rest In Peace Narmie

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
