Siegel, Ruth (nee Gross), age 83, cherished mother of Jay, Sue (Joe Undreiner) and Ira (Julie) Siegel, proud and loving Bubby of Rachel, Mitchell, Elizabeth, Nachman and Matthew, dearest sister of Morris (the late Florence) Gross and the late Janette Gross and the late Irving (Irma) Gross, dear special sister, friend and traveling companion of Pauline Rosenbloom. Chapel service Friday, 12:15 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 Rand Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The American Heart Association, 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, IL 60674. Info: 847-255-3520.

I had planned to attend but my mom, Esther Chaet was in the hospital with fluid on the lungs.That kept us away. Mom's father was a brother to Irving, so we are cousins. I remember your mom well. She was always so friendly to all of us.My mom spoke fondly of her and even said, if she wasn't in the hospital, mom/dad wanted to be there.My sister,Ilene and I send our sympathy
