Ruth Scoggins Obituary
Ruth was born in Caroline County, Va., on Jan. 17, 1942, to the late Junius C. Paige and Pearl R. Woolfolk Paige.
Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Paige Easter (William).
She leaves to cherish her memories six children, Maria Scoggins Colbert (Cornelius) of Maryland, Tia Scoggins Tucker (Clinton) and Edward Scoggins Sr. (Karen), both of Washington, D.C., Zollie Hayes Jr. (Tratisha), Tamica Scoggins and Benikka Green, all of Williamsburg, Va. She also leaves behind her grandson, Rodney Scoggins of Williamsburg, Va., as well as six other grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Nelsen Funeral Home at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Family and friends will meet from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10, at 327 #9B Merrimac Trail, then proceed to the funeral home for the 1 p.m. service. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park.

Zollie, Tratisha, Tee-Tee and the rest of Ruth's family...
I loved Miss Ruth and will always remember her. We had the best time working together and still kept in touch through e-mail after her health forced her to quit working. I will truly miss her smile and laugh and pray that God gives you comfort during this time of loss.

TeeTee, Zollie & The rest of Ruth's family,
So sorry to hear of her passing, I loved working with Ruth. She had alot of knowledge and experience and shared it with me, I thank God for her. Even though our health took both of us from working, I always thought of her and missed her sense of humor, which I think of now fondly with a smile. She was a great woman and she loved each and every one of you with all her heart. My thoughts and prayers go with you at this time. Love to Ruth, She will be missed.
