Hello Jay -
We've met and talked a couple brief times, but I regret we never really got the chance to hang out and get to know each other better. But I did get to know you well through Helene's heart and loving words of you. I have marveled at love you two shared and still feel. I also can see how much Helene misses your physical presence every day. But I want you to know that she is so brave and so strong. She accepts nothing less than her best every day and I can see that keeping you with her brings her strength and warmth.
I want you to know that I love Helene dearly! I would do anything in my power to help support her through this difficult time of adjustment and beyond. I want you to know this because if ever you feel Helene is in need of something that I can help with, maybe you can whisper in her ear to call on me. I am here and I care so very much. She's more than my coworker, she is also my friend.
I wish you could see the progress at NOVA...I know you know how much Helene means to us all and I hope we never have to do without her, but you might not know how much we appreciated your help behind the scenes. You were generous with your time and donating things that have made such a difference in our participants lives. Mostly, you shared Helene with us and I know that was hard. Thank you so very much for everything you have done and for being such a big fan of our little program.
Lastly, I need to say I am sorry for winning the blanket you wanted to win at the raffle. It was the craziest thing and I always felt guilty that you bought so many tickets and then didn't win the one prize that you wanted! I will always cherish it and think of you and Helene both.
That's all I can think of to say right now. You are missed and you are loved!

Jay you are my whole world, my hero, my lover, my best friend, my miracle man - my heart has a hole in it that will never be filled. Most people thought I took care of you these past 26 years, but in fact you were my rock, the glue that held everything together and the only person who will ever hold the key to the lock of my heart! The lord blessed me with something some people will never have - true love! People say that time heals the hurt, but I can't comprehend that yet, because everyday without you is unbearable! I do know I have to let you go - you are no longer in pain and that is what I have to hold on to. We have so many wonderful memories - the last was the Genesis concert - we have our songs "Follow You, Follow Me" and "Hold on my Heart" - they represent our whole life together! Our Love is like the wind - I can't see it, but I can feel it! Love you now and forever!
