Magnuson, Rune R. 70, National Guard Veteran. Beloved husband of Joyce Ann (nee Eilert) and the late Susan (nee Darby), devoted father of James and Wendy (Douglas) Danosky and step-father of eight, proud grandfather of Alissa, Kaitlyn and Kathryn, loving brother of Donna Lee (the late Walter) Bennin, fond uncle of Kimberly Shanley and Craig Bennin. Funeral Service Monday, 11 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Sunday, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Former member of the Viking Athletic Assoc. Retired member of Pipefitter's Union Local 597. Info., 708-636-1193.

Dear Joyce,
I was shocked to hear of Rune's death; in fact no one here at Sethness (except for Valerie) knew about it at all until Monday the 27th. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that I will be thinking of you. Also, you are always so busy taking care of others...make sure that you take care of yourself at this difficult time.

YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. WE HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF RUNE. HERRING BREAKFASTS, BEARS GAMES, AND OF COURSE TRAINS. HE WOULD ALWAYS FIND SOMETHING FOR ME TO DO AROUND CHRISTMAS AFTER HE SENT ME THE NEW LIONEL CATALOG. THAT WAY I COULD GET TRAIN CARS FOR THE KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS. HE ALWAYS PAID ME IN TRAINS FOR MY WORK. IF YOU SIT BACK AND LOOK AT ALL HE HAS BEEN THROUGH HE WAS ONE TOUGH SWEDE! WE FEEL VERY LUCKY TO HAVE KNOWN HIM AND YOUR FAMILY.
