Its almost been a year since you have passed and I am still in denial that you are gone but I know that you are still with us in spirit. We miss you!! Rest in peace ruben.

Hey Sweetie, I hope you are enjoying yourself and as this holiday of Mother's Day arrives, I hope that you can give your mom strength and encouragement to go on and be strong. She is the best mom and everything that she did, she did it because she loves you. She deserves the best and you bring such happiness to her. I used to love sleeping over your house because she always made it fun and always took care of us and paid attention to what we had to say even though it was the stupidest thing ever! Take care and shine light on to your mom and dad, sammy and JOE! I love you and I miss you. Take care and rest in peace, cuz! Love ya

Wow Ruben, I can't believe you're gone. We shared many good times, the fourth of July's and New Year's eve on top of the bakery. Even in the last two years our little drinking moments at Hawk Eyes and TGIF'S. You'll never be forgotten, we'll all get to see you again some day. Some earlier than others.

Here it is, 2 1/2 months later and I keep hoping that i am going to wake up from this bad dream. June i miss you. There is alot of people hurting because we all miss you. You did a ton of good things to a ton of people and we will NEVER forget you. I remember the day you were born, your father was so happy!! I was blessed to have your dad allow me the opportunity to be a part of your life from the day you were born to the day we gave you to the earth. June i miss you and i love you. i will see you soon.

Condolences go out to you and your family. I met Ruben at Brother Rice. We played basketball pick up games at parks more than a couple of times. Never really got to know him since we only had a few classes together but I will always remember the few laughs we had. He will be missed, but always remembered.

I knew Ruben from grammar school at Queens. I wasn't the most popular kid in school, but he was always nice to me, just a genuine person. My heart felt sympathy goes out to his family. I know he will truely be missed.

I didn't know him, but my sister who worked with him said he reminded her of our little brother who also passed. She told me that he had his same smile and presence, but she never told him that. Our brother lives in our hearts still after so many years. He is always with us and gives us strength. My heart goes out to your family for this great loss.

I knew Ruben as a great funny guy with alot of charisma..he touched alot of people that he knew..hard to believe he's gone so quickly but I know he is at peace. I am glad I got the chance to know him..I will miss you Ruben and your smile. I will always remember the times we shared.

My cousin, man how much I love you and I will miss you. You ARE the best! We grew up together and had so much fun. I am soooo sorry that I wasn't able to hang out with you as we got older. Life took us through many paths and I wish I had the chance to hang with you. But thank you Junior for being such a great cousin to me. I remember all the times that we used to play and do funny thing to Joe! I miss those days when we used to just hang out and stay up late talking about crazy stuff. You were the brother I never had. Man, I can't believe you are gone and I won't see that sexy smile of yours again. Have fun and party like a rock-star up there! The death of Ruben has hit us all very hard. Ruben, his brother Joey and my son(Alex)have a friendship with depth beyond value. May the memories of Ruben and faith in God, give consolation. I knew Ruben since Grade School at Blessed Agnes. He and I would get into trouble together and we played together. I saw him once again in high school and he was always playing basketball. I always remember him smiling which is not very common. He was a good guy.
