Sincere appreciation for a better quality of life and for the joy of knowing you. Samoyed Kitzi and Maureen the neurotic pig send their best wishes. My favorite German proverb: "Those who love God never see each other for the last time."

Dr. Patterson's was a very devoted physician and I appreciated his care very much. And, incidentally, we shared an interest in scrimshaw. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Dear Elaine and Family,
I was overcome with sadness upon learning that my favorite doctor had died. My thoughts and prayers are with you. While I have not met you, I know how special you all are since your husband--father--grandfather was always delighted to share pictures and stories of you during my visits. I have missed him greatly since he retired. No one else could have helped me understand my asthma and given me the confidence to make the most of my life. I'm sure there are hundreds of patients who feel the same way I do. I am so sorry for your loss.
