Murphy, Roy Joseph age 81, WWII Veteran of the Navy LSM 230. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Murphy), to whom he was married for 56 years, dear father of Kathleen, Martin (Kathy Williams), Joanne (Michael) Nugent, Matthew (Kathy Scannell) and John (Mary Jo Fowler), proud papa of Sean (Maureen) Nugent, Colleen (Victor) Rivera, Patrick and Kevin Nugent, Kelly (Greg) Andruch, Katie (Jesse) Drnek, Marty, Dan, Matt, Brendan, Brian and Steve Murphy, great papa of Paityn, Ashleigh and Danny, dear brother of Mary Jane (Roger) Mentzer and brother-in-law of William (Eleanor) Murphy, the late Morgan (late Virginia) Murphy, the late James (the late Eileen) Murphy and the late Edward (Edwardine) Murphy, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m., from the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 4950 W. 79th St., Burbank, to St. Bede the Venerable Church. Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Retired IBEW Local 134. HEY, CITY 126, YOU MADE YOUR LAST 10-4.WE SPENT THE GOOD AND THE ??????? AND I TRIED TO SEE YOU THRU AS BEST AS I COULD. MY WORK WAS ALWAYS TO MAKE OUR SHOP LOOK GOOD. REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND, AND MY DEEPEST REGRETS TO MARY AND THE FAMILY.I BET YOU WILL GROW YOUR TOMATOES IN GOD'S GARDEN.

Aunt Mary and Family,
I am so saddened by Uncle Roy's passing. When I think of him, I think of all the fun we all had at Sunnybrook Farm. Those are the best memories for me. I hope the memories will bring a little smile to your faces in this time of grief. I have always looked at the "group" as a part of my family. My heart hurts for you because I know you are hurting and because I can't make it any better.
He will be missed by all.
