Rosemary McGowan Obituary

I will always remember you grandma, I always wish you were still here in my life and everybody else wishes the same. I am doing very well and I hope you watch over all of us. Even though I did not know for long I will promise you I will be amazing and do well in school.

McGowan Family,

My Thoughts and prayers are will all of you, Matt, Mike, Kathy, Kim and Mr. McGowan. Now that it has been a year since your mom's passing, it still seems unreal to Joe and I that she is gone. I know she is looking down on all of you with the same love and care that she gave to so many people in life. We will always miss her dearly and cherish the memories we have of her growing up.

I miss you! It has been one year and nothing can explain how I feel or how hard it is not to have you here. I love you very much. Alayna and I think about you all of the time and I am happy we have such great memories with you. It helps us through the time. I can't wait to share them with the twins as well. Good bye mom, mama, our best friend.

My heart is broken. We lost the one person who was a saint in the true meaning of the word. My wife was my life, my blood, my soul, my heart my very being. I love her so and miss her beyond any imagination. Love always and forever, your loving husband, Jim

Rosemary, you were on my mind today while I was thinking about the old times in school, so I decided to google your name to see if I could find a phone number for you so I could call. I was in a state of shock to read of your passing. Tears have filled my eyes, but they are tears filled with precious memories of our teen years that were full of fun and secrets. I will remember you always.

Aunt Rosemary,

I could not be happier that I had a chance to spend time with you when I was home to visit in August. I will cherish that last "in person" memory forever. And I could not thank you more for all the requests you made of me to create special invitations for your family. You were the catalyst I needed to get my business going.

I have such wonderful memories of you over my whole life. You were there for me growing up when I had difficult times with my family. You helped me out in so many other ways as an adult. And I always enjoyed your emails and phone calls. I especially could count on you to let me know what was going on with everyone. You always went out of your way to do that for me.

I am so glad you let me have your turquoise prom dress a few years ago. I kept a picture of you in it from when I last sorted grandma's photos. I will treasure both even more now. It means the world to me that you gave it to me.

You will be deeply missed.

It was often that you would step into the role of neighborhood mom: to drive a car load of teens somewhere, to mediate a teenage dispute, to give us a pep talk when we were down, or to give us some ideas on what to do outside to get everyone out of your house. Our love and prayers go out everyone who is grieving your loss. We can all take comfort in knowing we have another Guardian Angel keeping a watchful eye on all of us.

Mrs. McGowan,

I know your name is Rose, but you will always be Mrs. McGowan to me. You truly are a 2nd mother to Jason and I. I am going to miss you dearly. We can always count on you whenever we needed anything. Whether it was a ride to the ball game, or ordering pizza when we would sleep over. Most of all, I will miss your positive outlook on life. You always made even the grimmest of situations seem positive. Even though you have left this world, please continue to shine down upon us with that wonderful smile.

Mrs. McGowan, I never had met you, but I know that you were a very loving caring person, and will be missed. My thought and prayer go out to your family.

Rosemary was the smiling face of Jesus to so many in her life. Over the years I have told others of her
caring and reaching out to all who needed her loving touch. May she rest now in peace, sheltered in the palm of the Father's hand. May we embrace her memory by following in her footsteps living our lives as
Jesus has shown us.

Even though I wasn't your real daughter, you always treated me and loved me like I was. I've only known you for such a short time, but you made me feel like I had been a part of the family for my entire life. Thank you for welcoming me into your family with loving and open arms and sharing your happiness, laughter, and memories with me. I'm so sorry we weren't yet able to give you another grandchild to love and watch grow up, but I promise that he or she will grow up knowing about your smile, contagious laughter, genuine love, and free-spiritedness. They will always know that their mama in heaven is watching over them and loves them very much.

Dear Mrs. McGowan,

I was devastated to hear of your passing. I will always miss you. Joe and I loved you like a second mom. You were always there for Joe and I when we needed you. I will remember all the sleep overs with Matt, the baseball games and your hospitality, as well as how you were there for Laura and I when we bought our first condo in Tinley Park, and then when you were there for us to share are joy at our wedding as well as our move to Arizona. All though you have left us far too soon, you have touched so many lives forever. May you look down upon your wonderful family and all the friends whose lives you have touched.

I don't know whether to call you aunt, mother-n-law or friend for you were all 3 to me.You were the first one to welcome me into the family (with open arms of course).I'll never forget my first Christmas eve with the McGowans. I was so nervous and you made me feel right at home.From that day on, the Christmas eves, as well as you, have always been special to me.
Thank you for your advice, your friendship and most importantly your love. I will cherish it all.

Though I did not know you as well as I would have liked to I know you were a very warm and loving wife,mother, and grandmother. I've known your husband Jim for many years. We lived next door to each when we were growing up and my father tought him to fish.You will be dearly missed.

Even though you may have been my aunt you were and always will be considered my grandmother. I Loved you like there was no end ..and loved your warm feeling hugs we would get on our way out of the house. You would watch me when I was a little baby and helped me grow into the person that i am today.I will miss our Christmas eves and all of the great memories but will hold them with me forever. Mamma,
You have ben there for me in good times and in bad. Like when I would miss the bus and I would call you at 6:30 in the morning. You would stop what you were doing and come pick me up. You were always looking out for everyone else. I never got a chane to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart, and that I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I will miss you greatly. But now I no that you are always beside me. And that you are up in Heaven looking over everyone and protecting us, making sure that we are safe and taken care of. You were a wonderful mother, grandmother, friend, and most importantly a wonderful person. You've touched, and helped so many people. You're gone now, but your memory will live on inside of all of us always and forever.

My Dear Friend Rosemary,

You were my very first friend when I moved to Orland Park and through the years we worked together, were there to support each other and give a listening ear when one of us needed one. Together we cheered for our kids on the baseball field, we celebrated graduations, danced at the weddings. There are so many wonderful memories of what a great friend you were to me and to so many others. I shall miss you everyday my friend. Rest in Peace.

You were the only person that truly listened to me and I will love always for the conversations that we used to have.we used to be able to talk about anything no matter what it was we could talk about it and I love for the fact. I remember a time when I was going to get into trouble for something that I did wrong and she helped me get out of it because she loved me so much.Iguess what I'm trying to sum up is that you will always be in my heart and I will never forget all the times that me and you had together.

To my beautiful mother, our time together has been cut short but you will live on through your children and grandchildren. You are by best friend and I am your biggest fan.
