Roseleen Obbagy Obituary

Obbagy, Roseleen G. "Rose" (nee Ryan) Age 70, of St. John, IN went to be in the presence of God on Thursday, September 27, 2012. She was born December 14, 1941 to John and Kathleen (Sullivan) Ryan. Much loved by all, Rose is survived by John, her husband of 50 years and by her 3 children, Christine Obbagy, John M. Obbagy (Denise), and Paul Obbagy (Samantha). She is also survived by her sister, Maureen (Thomas) Mullee; sister-in-law, Mary Ann (Anthony) Roppo; brother-in-law, Thomas (Phyllis) Giroux; and grandchildren, Paul, John, Katherine, Hunter, Shannon and Joseph Obbagy and Caitlin Schofield. She is preceded in death by sisters, Kathleen Ryan and Doreen (Thomas) Giroux. Formerly of Oak Forest, IL, Rose was a longtime member of St. Damian Catholic Church before moving to St. John, IN in 2004 and becoming a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Parish. Rose will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, spirit of adventure, and her loving and giving nature. Family and friends may visit to celebrate Rose's life on Thursday, October 4th at Rosemoor Funeral Home, 17943 Torrence Avenue, Lansing, IL from 2 to 9 PM. Final viewing will be at 9 AM on Friday, October 5th at St. John the Evangelist Day Chapel, 11301 W. 93rd Avenue, St. John, IN, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
