William Ernest Bolton Obituary

A celebration of life service for Mr. William Ernest Bolton will be at 1 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at The Provencal United Pentecostal Church with Pastor Paul Grace officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bellwood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches and on Wednesday from 10 am until service time at Provencal United Pentecostal Church located at 1851 Hwy 117, Provencal, LA 71468.


Ernest Bolton was a simple man that lived a very simple life. He was a very godly man that loved his Lord and Savior. His family was blessed to have him for 100 years, 11 months and 5 days. He loved to garden and supply family and friends with the fruits of his labor through God's blessing.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 78 years, Nora Mae Frantom Bolton; and a daughter in law, Melinda Bolton.

He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons, Lester Bolton and his wife Rosie, Rush Bolton and his wife Jackie and Dudley Bolton. He was the oldest of 7 siblings with 1 surviving sister, Azarine Bolton. He was blessed with loving grandchildren, Shelby Bolton and Marcia, Kevin Bolton and Janice, Billy Lewis and Jackie, Dawn Gandy and Ray, Bridgette Birdwell and Hal, Shannon Bolton and Tiffany, Elizabeth Webb and Jonathan and B.J. Bennett; and 8 great grandchildren, Kara Gandy, Evan Gandy, Zachary Birdwell, Dayton Woods, Ella Jones, Skylar Bolton, Waylon Bolton and Maegan Bolton.


Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shelby Bolton, Kevin Bolton, Billy Lewis, Hal Birdwell, Freddie Wilson and Jonathan Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be B.J. Bennett and Waylon Bolton.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Provencal Christian Academy, 1852 Hwy 117, Provencal, LA 71468 and/or to Shady Grove Cemetery Fund, 466 Delton Masters Road, Provencal, LA 71468.
