Rose Morgan Obituary

Morgan, Rose age 96, beloved sister of Mrs. Ardelia Taylor, at rest Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Ms. Morgan grew up in Chicago. She was a successful businesswoman in the beauty industry. In 1938, after being invited to New York city by singer/actress Ethel Waters, she opened her first beauty shop. Over the next 50 years she employed and trained more than 3000 people. Ms. Morgan was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Visitation and Wake will be held on Monday, December 22, 2008, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral services immediately thereafter at the Antioch Baptist Church, 6248 South Stewart, Chicago, with the Reverend Gerald Dew officiating. Taylor Funeral Home, 63 E. 79th St., viewing on Sunday, December 21, 2008, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.
