McCormack, Rose J. "Joan" (nee Durlak) A resident of Schaumburg for 9 years, formerly of Chicago. Funeral Services for Rose "Joan" J. McCormack (nee Durlak), 90, will be held Monday, January 11, 2016 beginning with prayers at 9:15 a.m. at Michaels Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg, proceeding to 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Schaumburg. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 3:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Born August 27, 1925 in Chicago to the late Joseph and the late Zofia (nee Hebda), she passed away peacefully January 8, 2016 in Elk Grove surrounded by her loving family. Joan was considered the "#1 Fan" at Conant High School basketball games. Joan was the adoring wife of 45 years to the late Emmett; loving mother of Thomas (Mary Alis); fond grandmother of Patrick (Vanessa), Maureen (Nicholas) Drabicky, Matthew (Sylvia) and Kerry; proud great-grandmother of Connor and Delaney and Thomas; dear sister of 5; fond aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews and friend to many. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
