Rose Blanchet Obituary
Blanchet, Rose Mary (nee Strueck) passed away peacefully on February 4, 2023 at the age of 92. Loving wife of the late Louis Blanchet; fond sister of the late August Strueck; dear aunt of Susan Burke, Mary (Bruno) Para, Lisa O'Connell and Jenifer (Tom) Tarach; proud grandaunt to nine nieces and nephews and great grandaunt to Rosemary. She worked at UIC where she was named Acting Director of Nursing in 1975. She was active in the Association of Operating Room Nurses and served as guest lecturer for the Loyola University School of Dentistry and was a long-time supporter of St. Anthony's Hospital. Friends will gather Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM for a Memorial Service at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 W. Archer, Chicago, IL 60638. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ridgefh.com for the Blanchet family.
