Ronald Schnoebelen Obituary

Schnoebelen, Ronald 86, March 28, 2016, longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago's Clearing neighborhood. Beloved husband of 64 years to Lois E. (nee Malven); devoted father of Patrice (Neil) Benjamin and Stephen (Joann) Schnoebelen; loving grandfather of Dennis and Donald Schnoebelen, Jeffrey, Jeremy and Jordan Benjamin. Preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Merle Schnoebelen; one brother, Gerald Schnoebelen; and two sisters, Maxine Amendt and Hubertine Peterson. Proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean War. Retired after 30 years from the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Chicago. Ronald was a golden glove lightweight boxing champion in his youth. After many bouts my mom thought best he retire from boxing and he did. My dad taught me the golden rule by living it and I was so lucky to have him as my dad. Thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff at Maryhaven. In lieu of flowers, donations to Presence Maryhaven in Glenview, IL would be appreciated. Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S.
