I believe Ron was a coach of mine in either the 7th or 8th grade. Always hate to see somebody like him pass, rest in peace

Everything I knew about coaching I learned from Ron. He was enthusiastic, kind, and an amazing teacher and coach. He let me tag along with his girls basketball team at WJH my first year and encouraged me to become a coach. He was my mentor, my friend, and my surrogate dad as I left mine in Oklahoma to start my career. The best lesson he taught me was to see the humor in my students and to laugh every day with them. I will always remember our coaching (especially track in the spring and that year he talked me into coaching 7th grade boys basketball), teaching 1/2 day PE with Ron one year during district cuts, going out after work with the gang, golf outings, and the end of year party he always hosted. I am a better person and a better teacher for knowing Ron. I offer my condolences and prayers to Bonnie and family.

My Dear Friend Ron Kroll,
We first met when we worked part-time at Plywood Minnesota in 1972. A friendship that developed into a strong kinship ensued. We played golf together for over 25 years until a back operation ended my playing days in 1998. We bowled on the same team for many years and shared many social gatherings. You often called me "mein bruder" which was appropriate because our relationship was more like family than simply friendship. Until the end of my life, I will always carry the memories of the many, many good times we had together. I will miss your laughter, your storytelling, your mirth. Simply put, I shall just miss you. So, sorrowfully, I will say goodbye "mein bruder". I will never forget you.

Bonnie, Ronald, Bina, Brooke, Mike and young Greta our deepest sympathies. Please know that we share your grief. We have all lost a very special man.
With heartfelt love and affection,

Terry and Diane

Seems like just yesterday getting up at 6 A.M. on Saturday morning to golf with Ron, Dennis, Jimmy, Terry, Pops, and Mike at Gleneagles.....Working together at Plywood Minnesota after school at our part time job......The road trip to Marco in that mobile home with Steve, Dee, Ron, Bonnie, Brook and Anita......The many days of working with Ron at WJH....These are all memories that sprang to mind when I was told of Rons passing.
Anita and I offer our condolences to all the members of Rons family. The world will be a lesser place without Ron being in it.

My Dear Friend Ron,

We first met in 1972 when we worked part time at Plywood Minnesota. Thus began a friendship that evolved into more of a kinship. We played golf together for over 20 years until my back operation in 1998 put an end to my playing days. We bowled on the same team for many years. We shared many social gatherings. You often called me "mein bruder" which was appropriate because you and yours felt more like family to us than simply friends. For as long as I live, I'ii remember all the good times we had together, your laugh, your storytelling, your mirth. But, most of all, I'll just miss you. So, goodbye "mein bruder" thanks for being a part of my life.

To Bonnie, Ronald, Bina, Brooke, Mike and young Greta please accept our heartfelt sympathy and know that we share in your grief. We have all lost a very special man.

With much love and affection,
Terry and Diane

An outstanding coach and gentleman. We go back to the first South Suburban Conference Championship basketball game 55 years ago. I won and I never let him hear the end of it!) Seems like yesterday. We remained good friends over many years and I am greatly saddened at his passing----all the old guard certainly have gotten old in a hurry.

I was so sad to hear about Ron's passing. Ron was a wonderful colleague at WJH. He always had a smile and was great to work with. I know the students at WJH loved and respected him as did his fellow teachers.

Ron was a great coach at Worth Jr. High & gentleman. I coached against him for many years from Independence Jr. High and always found him to be a class act. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing & offer my thoughts & prayers to his family.

Ron was a wonderful man. He was always pleasant and fun and he was a great substitute teacher in my KIndergarten classroom. He will be missed. RIP, Ron!

Ron's passing is a painful loss to all of us. While getting the most from each of his athletes was Ron's passion, his compassion and humor may be largely what they will remember about him. Young people in his charge usually realized here was a man who truly cared about them. Ron was my teaching and coaching colleague at WJH for many years. More importantly, he was a loyal friend. We will all miss him.

My deepest condolences on the loss of Mr. Kroll. He was such a wonderful teacher and coach. All of his students absolutely loved and respected him, myself included. I hope to impact even half as many children during my time on Earth that he did!

Sorry to hear about Mr. Kroll. I first had him as a teacher in 1st grade and then later in Jr High (WJH Class of 1985). Enjoyed having him as a teacher and all the conversations about sports. He is one Ive always remembered because of his positive influence on me.
