Mr. Cheek was a fantastic math teacher. I absolutely hated math; but I loved this man. He was truly a good teacher. He gave me a D with a red circle for four marking periods. I didn't deserve it. He must have seen something in me. I am so glad that he was in my life!

I was first introduced to Gage Park High School by way of Mr. Cheek´s Algebra class for 8th graders from Nightingale Elementary School. To this day I continue to say he was the best teacher I ever had and I´ve had MANY. Because of him I not only learned to love math but knew just how to wipe a blackboard really well I will keep my notes from his math classes forever! His legacy lives on eternally through all those of us he touched deeply.
