Rocco Lobraico MD was the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ravenswood Hospital in Chicago,Illinois when he approved my application to be a member of the staff there. Soon after he became my mentor, my teacher and my friend. He helped me raise my own standards of professional behavior for which I will always be indebted to him. He was the Laser in ObGyn course director at the Wenske Laser Center at the same hospital and tough this new modality of treatment to thousands of doctors coming from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and other states. I participated at the hands on training workshops in 1992.
All in all wonderful person. Rest in Peace.

I can't believe it is 20 years since he left us. I still think of him as the strong, supportive, caring mentor and friend, I knew and treasured. He is still missed, and knowing this must be a blessing for the family and friends he left behind.

Dear Lobraico Family

Although I was unable to attend the services for Rocco my thoughts and prayers were with you. I shall never forget the myriad of kindness he showed me when I joined the staff of RHMC in 1979.

To the family of Dr. Lobraico:

Dr. Lobraico delivered me 37 years ago and saved the lives of me and my mother after a very difficult delivery. He later performed surgery on me in 1985. He was such a kind, gentle man. My mother talks about him all the time. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and we will keep him and your family in our prayers. He was truly a "life-saver" for me.

Sincerely,

Laura Bratu

Gloria,

I was so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. I was a patient of his for many many years (he delivered my two Sons now 38 and 36). I followed him from his Downtown office and Sauganash office

to his Pulaski office and then to the Ravenswood Hospital office. What

a GREAT Doctor and wonderful person

he was. I thought he was very competent and had a way of making you feel comfortable. And, Gloria, I

remember how pleasant you were and how efficently you ran his office in the later years.

Dr. LoBraico delivered three of my four children. When I went in for my checkup, he asked, "if we had been out to dinner"? I said "no, my Mom is out of town and my mother-in-law does not baby-sit. He said, I have three daughters that baby-sit, here is the phone number. I loved Dr. Lobraico
