Dear Facchini Family,
I was fortunate enough to attend Our Lady Help of Christians during the time that "Father Facchini" was there. Many of my school memories have faded. But stories of "Marvin the Mouse" have remained. What a gift he had to bring the Word alive to young children. May God grant you peace.
Sincerely, Monica Miller

I was out of town when Jim Wilbur called to tell me of the death of our beloved Rocco. I am sorry to have missed the remembrances and funeral of our dear Rocco.
Rocco, many years ago, was chosen by his classmates to design and build a shrine in memory of a young classmate, Mike Smith, who had died at Mundelein. Now Rocco is with him in Christ's kingdom.
God bless those ,all of us,whom Rocco has left rehind awaiting the final reunion in the kingdom

Dear Della,
As you know, Rocco was a close friend for more than fifty years. Few men were more truly and deeply spiritual than was he. His acceptance of his trials of the past few years was an inspiration to all as he always presented a cheerful and optimistic outlook despite the many challenges to his health.
Just two weeks ago when we met at our Wednesday lunch, his first question to me was to ask about my health. He was that kind of guy, honestly concerned about the well being of his friends. I assured him I was fine, and we joined in the usual raucous discussion common when close friends gather.
Many are the memories of the past fifty years, from our first meeting as fellow seminarians and the frequent times our paths crossed. The renewed close association of the past few years, with you Della included in the mix, was truly a blessing. His book on Muldoon brought out additional shared experiences.
Mary and I returned to Florida last week so we were unable to be present for the funeral. I was at a clergy lunch Wednesday followed by a meeting of church representatives. I could not help but frequently think of Rocco. It was Wednesday, it was lunch time, and I found myself silently joining in the Salve Regina I knew was being sung.
We have temporarily been separated from a close and dear friend. You, Della, and your family are deeply in our prayers.

To the Facchini Family:
My sincere condolences on the death of "Father Facchini" whom I met while attending St. John Bosco School. He was so friendly to all the kids and we just loved him.
The last time I saw him was at an All-Year Reunion last year at St. John Bosco and especially now I am so glad that I attended and that he was there and I was able to speak with him. Even now, all the "kids" gravitated toward him at the reunion, wanting to speak with him and seeing if he remembered them.
My prayers and thoughts are with all of you.
I invite all the Bosco graduates who knew Father Facchini to sign this guest book also.

Dear Facchini Family,
My deepest sympathy to you. I too knew "Fr. Facchini" as a child at St Charles Borromeo parish in 1957. He was a great man and "friend". As an aspiring Altar Boy, he made learning the Latin Mass exciting & challenging. I'll remember him always. God be with you.

As a graduate of St. John Bosco grammar school many years ago, I was saddened to hear of the loss of Rocco Facchini. As a priest, he made a huge impact on myself and countless other small kids in that space in time that I can still remember like yesterday. My deepest sympathy.

Dear Facchini Family,
My deepest sympathy to you on your loss. I knew "Fr. Facchini" as a child at H.O.C. What a wonder man. He made learning about God fun. He had his friend "Marvin the Mouse", who always quoted from the Bible, but was never seen because he was always at another school teaching, sick in bed, or doing Penance because he was bad! God be with you.
