Robert Zabransky Obituary

Zabransky, Robert Frank Ph.D. ChemEng (Bob) born March 15, 1941, made his final journey to the Lord on Friday, August 13th. Visitation for Robert will be held on Monday, August 16, 2010, from 4:00-9:00pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake Cook Road), Barrington. He will lie in state on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, from 9:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Anne Church, 120 N. Ela Street (Corner of Franklin and Ela Streets), Barrington. Father Tom Bishop will officiate. Interment will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois or the University of Illinois Veterinarian College would be appreciated. After all these years, I remember Bob's enthusiastic laughter. It could have been at a simple joke, at the expense of one of the dogs, or even at himself. You always knew when Bob was in the room. I'm sorry the old family gatherings went by the wayside.

Bob was a great co-worker and an all around nice guy. His love of animals was evidence of the great human being he was. He will be missed.
