When someone asked me recently how long it has been. I replied, "I don´t know. There is just the time with him and then the time without him. I never remember the actual date but some how I wake up and my heart hurts. It is the anniversary of the day you needed to go be with Mom,"
My heart feels your absence all the time but it is stronger when I´m in your childhood home. I sit in the sun porch and watch the beautiful white birds that land in the trees across the lake at sunset and spot gators. I look at all the 70 year old beautiful trees and their symbiotic Spanish moss. I inspect and read all the medals, awards and plaques. Admire your Jäger trophies.I look at that giant flat screen and recall all the episodes, Bones, the Mentalist, that guy with that crazy hair talking about the Grays, and Hawaii 5-0 that we watched together. I go through the drive thru and order a chocolate covered custard filled.
Last night, we stayed in and ordered delivery. Going to bed, I had that strange feeling. Thoughts filled my head of the last time you told we the priest about walking baby gators on a leash when you were 10, trying to help you but I couldn´t, the smell of nitroglycerin spay that didn´t work and paramedics. The heart knows the anniversary of your leaving even though my brain won´t recall the actual date.
So today, as I go see your talented beautiful kind souled Grandson perform in the Festival Disney2023, I know you and mom will be watching from above.
Yes, the 10 year anniversary of when you went to be with Mom. I miss you more than word can express. I love you Dad!

Terri, Josi and Judy,
Bob was a wonderful man and we were very sorry to hear of his death. He and Liz were always so kind to us, and key to our introduction to Jacksonville. We are consoled that they are reunited, and will always have fond memories of them. God bless you all.

We met Bob & Liz in 1969 at Grissom AFB and have been friends since. Just a few days before he died Audrey was going through some old pictures of the four of us and put one on our fridge. Bob & Don were known to trade jokes for hours on end in the officers club at Grissom and have carried on with that tradition through email. Don has been on the Board of Ovar'coming Together,an ovarian cancer support group for some time now in Indianapolis. We now will miss them both. Dr. (Maj.) Don & Audrey Cline, Zionsville, IN

I worked with Bob at NFAN. He hired me when I moved to Jacksonville in 1991. He was a great guy. I enjoyed working with him and considered him a dear friend.

As I wrote in the funeral home guestbook- we were next door neighbors, fellow band birds, career Air Force together, and most of all friends. God bless you Judith and all his family. You are in my prayers as I know it is such a difficult time.

Bob and I have been friends since Landon HS (60 years)and I have never known him to be anything but upbeat and optimistic. He was a good boy and a fine man. In all that time I have never heard an unkind word said about him. God speed, buddy.
