WWII Marine Corp Veteran, beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Shilka); loving father of Patricia (Mike) Schmidt, Gary (Sue), Paul (Natalie) and Michael Vainer, Diane (Mike) Carey and the late Johnny Vainer; dearest grandfather of 15; dear great-grandfather of seven; cherished brother of Joan (the late John) Friesen and the late John (Barbara) Vainer; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday 2 to 8 P.M. Funeral Monday 9:30 A.M. from Lawn Funeral Home 7732 W. 159th St. Orland Park to St. Julie Billiart Church, Mass 10:00 A.M. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
