To the Spahn family:
Every time I saw Bob at the agency or an event, he always took the time to share his wisdom with me or have a laugh or two. I know you will all miss him very much, but I hope his memory will always bring a smile to your faces. My deepest sympathy for your
loss.

Bob sold me my first NML policy when we met at a grill on Northwestern's campus where I was a student, around 1959. I could not imagine a finer intro to that company! A young man who already had it all together, radiating warmth, confidence, and knowledge of his mission. Bob wrote many other policies of various kinds for me over the years since then, as my family grew -- covering everything from kids' protection to our present long term care insurance! That's a lifetime of integrity, sincerity, and knowledge I counted on. And when our daughter started her own family, Bob helped her, too.
We'll all miss his special, important service. Sincerely yours, Mike Orlov

Dear nancy: Marilyn and I are deeply saddened to learn of bob's passing. Bob and you have shared a big part of our lives going back to our days together in the army. We often talk of the time we shared an apartment with you and bob and your first son bobby. Those days fostered a lasting bond that will never be forgotten. Bob has always been a great friend and there when we needed him. Nancy, if ever you need anything, just ask. We will always be there for you just as bob was there for us. I will miss him. Love, Tom & Marilyn.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of our old friend and neighbor on Wenonah Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois. On behalf of Marie, Steven, Christopher and myself, our deepset condolences on the loss of this very good man.
PS: I still chuckle when I recall Big Al sneaking that HUGE tomato, still on a vine, among Bob's little tomato plants along the side fence back in Oak Park and then watching to see Bob's reaction when he discovered a giant "growing" among his other little tomato dwarfs!

Dear Nancy and Kevin, I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing. For 30 plus years Bob never missed a birthday card or taking me to lunch. He became much more than my insurance agent, he became my friend. I will miss his wise counsel, his friendship and will miss seeing "Duds" pull up to my door. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with you. Earl and Cornelia Roden
