Bob and I worked together at OPH and Synergon...I am shocked to hear of his passing, and so so saddened...I loved that guy!!! He'd come into my office and would say "Len, need just five minutes." Two hours later we were still talking and never did cover what he came to see me about. He was the best HR guy I ever met. He got me into fly fishing and taught me how to cast. One year I asked him how much he fished...he said he fished over 220 days ...said he couldn't drive over a bridge without stopping on the other side to run down the bank and cast a line! I asked where he kept his fishing gear...in my car trunk was his reponse...I've got over $5,ooo in equipement in there...and then said that was more than the car was worth!!! Oh how he'll be missed. I will never forget him...I so deeply will share your loss. What a great guy! Tears overwhelm me.

I was so sorry to hear about Bob's death. I knew him when we both worked at Oak Park Hospital and Synergon. He was unfailingly kind and caring, and I remember many very long philosophical discussions with him. Although our contact was lessened when our work lives took different paths, he was often in my thoughts as one of the most honorable people I knew. He will always remain that way in my heart and mind. My condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed.

Beginning in the fall of 1976, I was privileged to have been hired by Bob to work as his HR Assistant at Suburban Hospital on County Line Road in Hinsdale. We worked together for over ten years and I found him to be a caring and supportive boss, mentor and friend. He was extremely generous in sharing his knowledge and not a day went by that I did not learn from him. Our families became close friends and still are to this day. He has left the best of himself in his sons and he will always be remembered with love.

I remember 1973 and the particular day I met Bob like it was yesterday. I hired Bob in his first personnel job. Although I was looking for someone seasoned and experienced, Bob won me over in the first interview because of his passion, intellect, and enthusiasm to change the world and especially the workplace. His ideas were always ahead of the times, and he never let an idea lapse easily...he would go out one door and in the next door to re-present and reposition his idea...always with passion and sometimes great humor! Few people in their lifetime affect as many people as Bob did. Bob played a major role in my life and will have a big place in my heart forever. May his passion, insights, humor, and love for family and friends sustain us all.

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. I worked for Bob at Oak Park and Westlake Hospital in the Human Resource Department. He was a great boss and mentor. He spoke often and fondly of his family and boys, Peter and Jonathon. His love for his family and friends was always evident. We have all lost a very caring, understanding and loving friend in Bob. I am sure he is in heaven looking down on us and enjoying casting his reel, all decked out in his fishing gear with that great smirk on his face that we will always remember.
Bob once gave me a special saying to hold on to:
" What made us friends in the long ago when first we met? Well, I think I know; The best in me and the best in you hailed each other because they knew that always and always since life began Our being friends was part of God's plan!"
Thank you Bob for being part of my life! I will truly miss you!

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. I worked with him in HR at Westlake and Oak Park Hospital. He had a great outlook on life and was always so positive and talked about his family and fly fishing all the time. My prayers are with his family. I picture him in a babbling brook with his fishing reel and enjoying nature. Peace be with you.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Bob. I knew Bob when we went to Whittier School and through Oak Park High School.
