Robert Richardson Obituary

Richardson, Robert J. "Sarge" U.S. Army-S.F.C. retired, 85, April 24, 2015, longtime resident of southwest side of Chicago, Clearing neighborhood. Retired career military, having served 25 years in the U.S. Army and in the 101st and 82nd Airborne. Following military retirement, he taught R.O.T.C. in the Chicago Public Schools, retiring from Lincoln Park High School. Beloved husband of the late Hildagard (nee Kassas); devoted father of the late Kimberly Richardson; dear brother of Eleanore (late Virgil) Chambers, the late Eileen (late Roy) Markwell, the late Donald (late Vernie) Richardson, the late Harvey (late Marion) Richardson and the late Bill (late Bernice) Richardson; loving uncle, great-uncle of many; special buddy to Ashley and Charlie. Preceded in death by parents, William E. and Agnes (Connor) Richardson. Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Thursday, April 30, from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Friday, May 1, 8:45 a.m., at chapel, to St. Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors at St. Mary Cemetery.
