Deborah, Brian, and Kevin, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I didn't know until I saw it in OLR bulletin yesterday. I would certainly have expressed my sympathy in person if I had known earlier.

For Bob

Robert Maisel was a kind and gentle man. The quintessential definition of a "nice guy". No man is perfect. But in all these years I never heard or saw any act that could not be interpreted as anything but kind and gracious to his fellow human beings. His kind smile, his deadpan sense of humor, his steady and loyal manner that most men never equal.

Bob's shorter than expected life did not change the world. His gallant and noble sufferings did not inspire the masses.

But a life should not be judged by its quantity but by its quality and its impact upon those closest to him. Bob helped to nurture and inspire their world. His loving wife and two fine sons. He will continue to live forever in their hearts and he did change their world like no one else could.

God bless you Bob. It was a privilege to be a part of your world. We will miss you. Rest in peace.
