Korean War Veteran, age 72, beloved husband of Sylvia for over 51 years, dear father of Susan (Leonard) Arquilla, Robert Jr. (Sharl), Donna (Michael) Bucher, loving grandfather of Lisa, Laura, Linda, Leonard, Jack and Hannah, fond brother of Jerome Ludwig and Judith Matejevic. Visitation at Herdegen-Brieske Funeral Home, 1356 W. Wellington Ave., from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday and 3 to 9 p.m., Friday. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 a.m., from chapel to St. Alphonsus Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Grand Knight of DeSoto Council #517. Fourth degree member of Baldric and Sword. Past president of Grand Knight and past Grand Knight Club. President of Holy Name and Father's Club. Ran the "Crazy Ball" booth for St. Alphonsus Carnival for over 25 years. A 50 year member of the Carpenter's Union Local 181 and #1 fan of Notre Dame forever.
