Better late than never, right? I always wondered why the Christmas cards stopped, now I know. Bob was such a close friend while we were stationed together in Newport, RI. I'll always remember the apartments we shared together while there. After I returned from Vietnam, he and his family opened their home to me allowing me to spend the night on numerous occasions so I wouldn't have to drive back to Gary late at night. His family was the best!! After I moved to Virginia and married, I think we only got together one time. Bob and Marty, Sandy (my wife) and myself. The only contact after that, was his Snoopy Christmas card every year, which I always looked forward to receiving. I'm so sad to hear of his passing. Marty and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Bob's memory will always be with me. I'll always miss you, my friend!!
